Diane Johnson

A SHORT BIO OF DIANA JOHNSON (by her Husband Ron Johnson) *edited by Don Rose

I can't tell her age, But she was born in the St Louis Area around the same time as the "Barbie Doll" was introduced. Her father operated a gas station and used car lot around Chesterfield, Mo. They lived in a modest home in Castlewood , which is near Ballwin, Mo. She attended Selvage Middle School. Later they moved to High Ridge, Mo and she attended Northwest High School. Diana also attended Jefferson County College in Hillsboro, Mo and studied Nursing.

Diana's previous marriage to Terry produced one child, Tara. Her daughter (Tara) married Larry Douglas and are the proud parents of "Samara" which translate to "Protected by God" Tara and family reside in Fenton , Mo. Larry is a member of the National Guard and is a native to De Soto.

Most of Diana's adult life has been taking care of others, most notibly, her Aunt Elsie. Elsie came into our home and diagnosed to have only 6 months to live, but with Diana's care she exceeded 7 years. Long enough for Elsie to move with the family to the Arlington.Elsie and her little dog "INKY" spent her remaining years. All told Diana cared for Elsie for 20 years.

Diana has many loves, Lord and Savior is integral to her life, and she looks forward to Bible discussions.

Another love of her's is "Cooking" Our fried chicken is from a recipe created by Diana and her sister, Linda. It's double dipped and deep fried. It is fast becoming "Famous in Jefferson County" and parts downwind

Another love is MUSIC.... She has played the piano and organ at many churches over the years. She and I even played with "BILLY JOEL" one day for over an hour.... More about that later...

A SHORT BIO OF RON JOHNSON

I was raised in Sunset Hills near Highway 66.  I went to school in the Lindbergh School District  During high school, I worked at the first McDonald's Hamburger stand.  It was called that because you couldn't sit down and eat there.  I worked there for 4 years.  After that, I went to college for 1 year on a music scholarship majoring in business administration.

At 19, I was hired on a union job with the auto workers.  After 9 years, I was really good at repairing carburetors, so I quit and opened my own auto repair shop on South Lindbergh Boulevard.  My shop eventually was sold to Church's Chicken, so I had to move on.  I went to work at the local Jeep dealer as a mechanic and eventually was promoted to service manager.  I worked there for 23 years all together, the last few years as a car salesman.  I then went to work as an auto insurance claims adjuster until 2004 when my wife and I bought the Arlington.

We have loved every minute we have been in DeSoto, and have found many friends and loyal customers.

Peronsal Info:  3 children.  9 grandchildren, 2 stepgrandchildren - ages 7 months to 22 years old.

Hobbies:  Home repair, airplanes, piano and bass guitar.

My wife Diana and I have been married 13 years.
